Delhi Gang Rape: Save me, I want to live, Rape victim says
Delhi Gang Rape: After nearly 36 hours after that heinous and barbaric act which shamed whole of the country, ‘poor’ girl regained consciousness, she started crying and wrote on the piece of paper ‘lift my leg, Clean My Throat ,’ only way she can describe her pain. She is going through unbearable pain in the limbs of her body and digestive system is not working properly. She is also having trouble in breathing. She is still on a ventilator in the ICU. After that what she wrote was so heartening, hearing that every Indian will feel the pinch and pain that girl is going through, she wrote “ I want to live , please save me Ma”.
Dr. BD Athani Medical Superintendent of the hospital said the woman is in serious condition. Slight recovery in the morning after his health condition has worsened again. In addition, several major parts of the body are deeply hurt.
It is so sad to hear but it could had happened with anyone, me you or someone else. It was bad luck of that couple that they boarded that bus but don’t you think it can be any one from us. What is the fault of the young girl , in mid twenties just took time from her busy schedule to hang out with a friend. I would say that it is not the failure of the system or govt it is the failure of the country. We are nourishing these crimes and when something of this sort happened we started playing blame game. I’m not saying that it was not fault of the police but can you keep one police for one person. There are 20 to 30 million people in Delhi itself from where will you bring so many police personals to look after them.
I was going through lots of comments which people have pasted on different websites and i like this one the best ” I am a ‘Dilliwala’, born and brought up in the capital city. I am not a rapist. I support women and LGBT rights (shame that they are not given by default and need to be supported). But how can I keep defending my city when it is undoubtedly, proven by facts and figures, the rape capital of India. How can I defend my country as an old civilization when its citizens are not civil?”
Time has come when we become more responsible and more active towards others. Don’t you think that we have created gaps since the time we have more and more communication technology, how often we interact with our old friends or say our parents. We have become so inhuman that if someone is asking for help we ignore it thinking that “Aapne kiya jata hai” , I’m not talking about others but same applies for me too. When will we stop thinking women as sex object, a medium to vent out all our frustration. How different are we from the people who did this barbaric act, this is the question we need to ask from our self.
Next time when you see someone harassing a women and you ignore it , don’t cry when same thing happens with you or your family members and don’t ask for help from others.
As the saying goes, “ If you are not worried about your neighbors when they are in trouble no one will be worried when it will be your turn”. Start from today and take an oath to throw away these demons from our society… So that atleast we can sleep with security and no girl can plead her mother to Save her because she wants to live….
