Asaram Bapu sued by an advocate
Today a case was filed in a local court in Muzaffarpur against spiritual leader Asaram Bapu for his remarks in connection with the Delhi gang-rape case and the court has taken cognisance of it. The complaint case against the spiritual leader was filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in the
court of Chief Judicial Magistrate(CJM) SP Singh, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Sudhir charged Asaram Bapu with allegedly insulting women in general and hurting people’s sentiments by passing controversial remarks during his sermon in Rajasthan’s Tonk district last week.
Meanwhile, Asaram bapu was in conteroversy for his statement on Delhi gang rape Victim. He says” The girl should have taken God’s name and could have held the hand of one of the men and said, ‘I consider you my brother’ and to the other two, she should have said, ‘Brothers, I am helpless. You are my brothers, my religious brothers’. Then the misconduct wouldn’t have happened.”
